Custom DTF Transfer The Ultimate Guide to Scaling Your Business

A Custom DTF Transfer Gang Sheet is the most cost-effective way to order professional-grade prints for your apparel business. Instead of ordering individual designs, a gang sheet allows you to place multiple images onto a single roll of film. This maximize space, reduces waste, and significantly lowers your cost per print.

Whether you are printing small neck labels or large back designs, gang sheets offer unparalleled flexibility. It is the secret weapon for print shops that want to maintain high margins while delivering retail-quality garments to their customers.

To ensure your gang sheets have the highest color accuracy, we use premium DTF Ink for every print. If you need branding for hard surfaces like bottles or laptops, our UV DTF Gang Sheets are the perfect "peel and stick" solution.

1. What is a DTF Gang Sheet?

In the printing world, "ganging" refers to placing multiple different jobs on the same print run. In DTF, this means you can fill a long sheet (usually 22 inches wide) with as many designs as will fit.

• Space Efficiency: You pay for the length of the film, not the number of designs.

• Variety: You can mix different logos, sizes, and colors on one sheet.

• Bulk Savings: Ideal for small batches or large production runs.

2. Benefits of Using Custom Gang Sheets

Why should you choose a gang sheet over individual transfers? The advantages for your workflow are massive.

• Cost-Effective: You significantly reduce the price per logo by filling every inch of the film.

• Consistency: All your designs are printed with the same ink and powder settings for uniform quality.

• Easy Storage: You can keep the roll of transfers in a cool, dry place and cut them out only when you need them.

• No Minimums: You can fill a small 24-inch sheet or a massive 100-foot roll depending on your needs.

3. How to Prepare Your Gang Sheet File

To get the best results from your Custom DTF Transfer, your artwork file needs to be set up correctly.

1. Resolution: Use 300 DPI for all images to ensure sharp edges.

2. Format: Save your file as a transparent PNG, TIFF, or PDF.

3. Backgrounds: Ensure there are no stray pixels or semi-transparent "glows" around your designs.

4. Spacing: Leave at least 0.5 inches between designs to allow room for easy cutting.

5. Dimensions: Set your artboard width to the printer's specification (usually 22 inches) and increase the height as needed.

4. Application and Pressing Instructions

Applying transfers from a gang sheet is simple and fast.

• Step 1: Cut out your individual design from the roll.

• Step 2: Pre-press your garment for 5 seconds to remove moisture.

• Step 3: Place the transfer and press at 155°C (310°F) for 15 seconds.

• Step 4: Wait until the film is completely cold to the touch before peeling.

• Step 5: Perform a finishing press for 5 seconds with a Teflon sheet.
